The Jane B. Moore Softball Indoor Practice Facility at Auburn University is one of our favorite projects. Designed with a 112-foot clear span and featuring custom radius roof framing, this 12,000-square-foot space supports year-round training. We outfitted the facility with 24-gauge radius standing seam roof panels, FW-120 wall panels, and reverse roof liner panels, making it as durable as it is functional.
This facility goes beyond just practice. It includes batting tunnels, retractable netting, and a full-sized infield for player development. Its multi-floor press box, club space, and adaptable design make it a versatile space for both athletes and fans. We’re proud to be part of a project that enhances player performance and community engagement alike.
Huntsville Fire Station #20, located in Madison, AL, is a critical addition to the city’s emergency services. Built in partnership with Pearce Construction Company and completed in June 2024, the facility was designed with strength and efficiency in mind. Using 38 tons of steel, ACI provided 24-gauge Snow White StratoShield Roof Panels and LT 3.3 Wall Panels, ensuring the station is both durable and weather-resistant. The roof’s standout feature? A seamless one-piece, 72-foot-6-inch-long roof panel, which contributes to the building’s sleek design.
This new station not only enhances response times but also improves safety across the area. According to city officials, the station will reduce fire insurance premiums for residents and businesses nearby, making it as much a financial asset as a safety one. It also serves a growing population on the west side of Huntsville, ensuring faster, more reliable emergency response. If you’re ready to build a facility that serves both your community and your bottom line, let ACI bring your next project to life.
The Ford Ice Center is a public/private collaboration between local government, the Nashville Predators and the people of Nashville. The $15 million 90,000-sqaure foot facility includes two NHL-sized ice rinks, a yoga/ballet studio, four party/meeting rooms, 2,500-square feet of off-ice training space, concessions and a Perani’s Hockey World pro shop.
This fall, Tate Farms in Meridianville, AL introduced a new attraction just in time for pumpkin patch season—a one-of-a-kind “dairy-go-round” carousel. Unlike traditional carousels, this Italian-made masterpiece features farm animals in place of horses, allowing guests to ride everything from cows and roosters to pigs and goats.
To house this unique attraction, we provided a 55’ x 55’ structure with portal frames and sloped hanging end walls, designed specifically to maintain the critical clearances required for the carousel’s height and rotation. The roof features Burnish Slate PBR panels, while the walls are clad in Rustic Red PBR panels, blending the structure seamlessly into the farm’s rustic charm.
This pavilion adds to the magic of Tate Farms during the fall, giving visitors a new way to experience the farm’s charm—whether they’re picking pumpkins, enjoying hayrides, or now, spinning on a rooster. We’re proud to have contributed to a space where families can create lasting memories season after season.
When building a structure in Florida, it must be built to weather, well, the weather. When encountering the oft-seen “act of God,” it is also evident that the “house of God” must remain available for community worship, shelter, and comfort. When completed, the New Life Church in Santa Rosa, FL will be just that. ACI engineered steel is already in place and providing a building foundation as strong as it’s parishioner’s faith. ACI provided over 250 tons of steel for New Life’s 32,000 square foot main building and 13 adjoining structures. The steel in place will be Category IV Essential and sustain up to 160 MPH wind loads with 12 PSF collateral loads and support a 3,000-pound video screen.
On the aesthetic side, the entire facility is being built with strategic Biblical inspiration throughout the complex. The outdoor fountain and baptismal will be fed with water issuing from a rock, and the entryway into the facility itself will set the tone of the sacredness of the structure. Parishioners will pass through five pillars (symbolic of the ancient tabernacle), and upon entering the foyer, worshipers will be met with a chandelier in the shape of the burning bush from the book of Exodus. As worshippers make their journey toward the sanctuary, the interior wall of the foyer leading to the worship auditorium will mimic the Western Wall being comprised of smooth tile. The sanctuary and children’s areas will be modern and state-of-the-art while the exterior will be comprised of stucco and Jerusalem stone, blending the ancient and modern worlds.
