Associated Steel Group, LLC (ASG) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Hanwa American Corporation, a subsidiary of Hanwa Co., Ltd pending regulatory approval.
Hanwa is a leading Japanese trading company engaged in international trade and distribution across a broad range of industries, with primary operations in steel, metals, food products, energy, living materials, machinery, and housing materials.
ASG is a leading provider of engineered steel building solutions serving a variety of industries. With more than 55 years of experience, ASG’s operating companies—Alliance Steel and ACI Building Systems—employ nearly 600 team members and operate from facilities in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Batesville, Mississippi.
The agreement marks an exciting new chapter for the organization. ASG believes the partnership with Hanwa will provide significant opportunities for growth and strengthen the capabilities of both companies. Hanwa’s global reach, deep industry expertise, and extensive resources will position Alliance Steel and ACI Building Systems to expand their capabilities while continuing to provide exceptional value and service to customers.
