Energy Star® Program

ENERGY STAR® is a program of the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy.  This program identifies products that can help reduce energy use.  ENERGY STAR® Partners produce products that have been shown to meet energy efficiency standards.  There are many tax incentives or credits available for installing ENERGY STAR® Certified Products.  See ENERGY STAR® at for tax incentives and credits available for your project and location.  ACI Building Systems is an ENERGY STAR® Partner.  Many of our roof panels meet ENERGY STAR® requirements and are registered ENERGY STAR® roofing products.

To meet the ENERGY STAR® requirements, the panel color and paint system must meet must meet certain standards.  For roofs with a slope of 2:12 or less, the roof panel must have an initial reflectivity of 0.65 or higher and an aged reflectivity of 0.50 or higher after three years.  For roofs with a slope greater than 2:12 the initial reflectivity must be 0.25 or higher and the aged reflectivity must be 0.15 or higher after three years.

ACI Building Systems will provide information required to apply for tax incentives and credits. See qualifying color and roof slope information at ACI Building Systems LEED Product Data Sheet SS 7.2.
